Today we made our own rainbow ribbons to twirl around, to wave in the wind and to dance with.

We used old wooden curtain rings and ribbon from the local cheap store. That’s it! So simple and cheap to make.

I measured the ribbon so each piece would be roughly the same but they ended up all different lengths somehow! I knotted them at roughly halfway through to keep the lengths even but you could do it differently for varying lengths. It’s totally up to you.

The curtain rings were purchased from an op shop. It took a few weeks of hunting to find some but they always turn up.

I sat making them whilst watching my favourite tv show (my little guy is too young to help just yet).

Don’t they just look beautiful in the wind!
